Overview

What is Udyam Registration?

Udyam Registration is the official government registration system for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India. It was launched on July 1, 2020, replacing the old Udyog Aadhaar / EM-II system.
Issued by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Udyam gives your business a unique 12-digit Permanent Registration Number (URN) — your gateway to loans, subsidies, government contracts, and legal protections under MSME laws.
📌 Example: A Bengaluru software firm with ₹8 crore investment
and ₹40 crore turnover qualifies as a Small Enterprise and gets
access to collateral-free loans up to ₹5 crore.

2. Aadhaar Verification (OTP)
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and name exactly as it appears on Aadhaar. Click "Validate & Generate OTP." Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
